Things to Do in Park City

Hot Air Ballooning

Take to the skies for a hot air balloon ride. No matter what time of year it is, hot air ballooning is the best way to get a bird’s eye view of Park City and the surrounding area. Once you arrive at the launch site, you’ll have the option of helping setup of the balloon. Once you’re airborne, rides last about an hour. You can request an intimate, two-passenger ride, a private ride for you and your group, or a standard ride with four to 12 riders. There will be an experienced balloon pilot to control the balloon at all times, and they can even help capture the memories in pictures. Check with the company before you head out, if the weather is bad or winds are over 8-10 miles per hour, flights will not take place.

Historic Park City

Go sightseeing in the town you’ve decided to visit. Founded in 1869, Park City still has many historic buildings still standing. The Historic Park City area and its buildings preserves the city’s western mining (silver) heritage while at the same time housing boutiques, galleries, and restaurants. The Park City Museum on Main Street features exhibits of the city’s mining town roots to its evolution into one of the top ski destinations in the country.

Unique Sightseeing

A beautiful four-hour tour takes you through some of the area’s most interesting stops. You can get picked up at your accommodations or a nearby hotel to meet your group at Snow Creek Wasatch Bagels for a quick breakfast before the tour. Once on the tour, you’ll visit Herber City, Midway, and Zermatt Swiss Village. You’ll also pass by the New Utah Film Studios and Jordanelle Reservoir on the way to main street Herber City. See the railroad depot, complete with an authentic operational steam engine known to locals at the Herber Creeper. Other stops include the local dairy farm for a taste of local cheese and snacks, the famed Ice Castles of Midway and a volcanic cave where the water is always 80 degrees Fahrenheit (27 C), and so much more. Bring your bathing suit and towel so you can take a plunge in the cave (optional add-on) for 45 minutes – SCUBA diving and snorkeling is also an option.

Snow Biking

Many people retire their bike for the season when the snow starts falling. Visit Park City and you’ll find people biking in the white stuff almost as much as they ski through it. You can rent a fat tire bike to explore trails in Round Valley, Mcleod & Willow Creek or even take the historic rail trail. Check a winter trail and conditions map before setting out. Remember to bundle up: those in the know recommend sturdy, water resistant hiking shoes or boots, wool or synthetic moisture-wicking socks, a moisture-wicking jacket under a wind-blocking, water-resistant one, and wind-resistant pants. Don’t forget something to keep your ears warm under your helmet and gloves that will keep your hands warm and still allow you to control your bike.

Functional Floor Plans

At our rentals, you will be pleased to see the functional, transformative furniture, manufactured in Italy. The transforming furniture helps to maximize every inch in the rental in order to provide all you could need or want. These include a transitional sofa to bed, and a desk that transforms into bunk beds. It is the perfect place for families who want to be close together and make memories that will last a lifetime. Everything in our rentals is expertly designed to be right where you need it to be, keeping in mind how you will be living when in the mountains.
